An outdoor banner for Los Jarochos advertising the Solar Eclipse of 2017 and their rum of choice for the once-in-a-lifetime event: Mt. Gay Eclipse.
With 25+ years of being a beloved professor of the graphic design and illustration program at Missouri State University, Cedomir Kostovic is nearing retirement. The Cedo25+ Exhibition was a celebration and retrospective of his work along with new work by his former and current students. Held from Oct. 18 - 27, 2017 with a closing reception at the Missouri State University Student Exhibition Center.
I was fortunate enough to have this globally-renowned designer for several classes throughout college and I was more than happy to give back in celebration of his tutelage. For this exhibition I created a poster in response to his work. This poster represents the ongoing pollution of the sea and the seafood we consume from it without thought. Oil spill pollution is one of the largest threats to marine ecosystems affecting not only fish, but also turtles, birds, and cetaceans. The chemicals used to disperse oil spills are also toxic to humans when ingested via seafood, leading to health problems such as obesity and type 2 diabetes.
Along with the poster submission, I submitted my rendition of the "25+" logo in collaboration with other students and alumni.
The logo collaboration can be viewed at the Cedo25+ website.

A poster created for Llywelyn's Pub advertising Diageo's partnership with Tullamore D.E.W. This special is for a classic boilermaker - a combination of Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey and a c hoice of Harp, Smithwick's, Guinness Draught, or Guinness Blonde.
A small handbill invitation created for Standard Beverage to hand out to their accounts and customers.
Large outdoor banner created for the Cotillion Ballroom for the Maren Morris concert, with special guest Ryan Hurd. Sponsored by Corona Light.
Horse & Academy was a briefly run magazine created in 2012. I was responsible for providing illustrations for the magazine, as well as developing the website.
A menu created exclusively for Carma, featuring tiki-era cocktails from the 1950's and 1960's when Tiki-mania swept the nation. I researched and drew inspiration from several 50's and 60's menus and books.
For Christmas 2015 I decided to make a card based on what I'm really into right now: dinosaurs and hand-lettering. The illustration features flora and fauna from the Late Jurassic, which includes archaeopteryx, stegosaurus, ferns, and gingko. These were then printed from moo.com, who did a fantastic job!
Access Advertising is an advertising agency that specializes in the transportation industry. Access needed a new website that focused less on transportation and more on hiring in general with a modern, cool look. I started with the “Flux” WordPress theme and developed it more through WordPress and the back-end to create the look that Access was going for. I also created modern illustrations for each page to add to the updated look.
An invitation created in conjunction with the American Royal BBQ and Standard Beverage Corporation, with sponsorship by Jim Beam, Pinnacle, Fireball, Sailor Jerry, and Gnarly Head. This particular design was used for both the 2016 and 2017 invitations.
For the 2016 Christmas Card, I decided to keep going with the dinosaur theme. I sketched out several ideas, and thought the Therizinosaurus was fitting. Theoretical paleoart often shows Therizinosaurus as a fluffy and warm-looking dino...what better dino to show "Warm Wishes"?
This set was also printed by Moo.com, who again did a spectacular job. For this year I went with a matte postcard with a writable backside to keep down costs.
Logo done for the Kansas City Dragonboat Festival.
A poster created for The Burger Stand for their Belgian Independence Day celebration, featuring Liefmans Goudenband Sour beer. Cheers!
Free State Brewing created a Mexican Amber Lager that celebrated the brewing traditions brought to Mexico in the 19th century by German and Austrian immigrants. To advertise their new brew, I created a poster featuring the name Estado Libre, or literally "free state."
A poster created for Savor specifically for the Miranda Lambert concert. This menu features two Jim Beam cocktails special to this event.
Boltwell is a preparedness supply retailer with a modern and stylistic twist. I had the opportunity to work with Design Ranch and Retail Concepts in helping to create and launch this company. I was responsible for the creation of advertising, packaging, signage, newsletters, marketing and internal collateral, social images, and parts of the website.
